Advanced Message Personalization

Different types of appointments may require different information to be made available to the patients prior to their visit. For example, they may be required to prepare for their appointment in a particular way depending on the procedure they are expected to undergo. To enable more targeted communication based on these differences we now offer a Deep Message Customization capability.

This feature allows you to further customize your DocMeIn message templates, creating versions of each template type for each service and provider in your practice.

Of course, this feature applies only to those practices which have multiple distinct services defined in their DocMeIn account. With Deep Message Customization, a dental clinic might create one reminder template for patients coming in for a tooth extraction and a different one for those coming in for their first-time dental consultation. The extraction reminder might instruct the patient to make post-appointment transportation arrangements, whereas the consultation reminder would suggest coming armed with insurance details and a filled out clinical questionnaire.

We know your time is your most precious resource and we want you to be able to make the most of it. If you have distinct types of appointments that require patient attention, Deep Message Customization will help you streamline communication with them with a lot of less work.

Here are step-by-step instructions to help you get started with this feature:

1. Enable the Deep Message Customization feature by navigating to Settings→Account→Premium Services.

Remember to click the Save button.

4. To verify that your template has been changed just for the selected service and/or provider, create the corresponding appointment on your calendar (with the service and/or provider for which you created the custom template).
